PRIVACY POLICY

Your schedule.
Your information.

What stays on your iPhone, what happens on this website, and what you choose to share with support.

Effective November 5, 2026 · English iPhone release

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Shift Life: Roster Planner is provided by Shenzhen Woying Weilai Information Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains the current iPhone app, its Home Screen widget, this product/support website, and information you choose to send to support.

Privacy contact: 907847046@qq.com. Effective date: November 5, 2026.

The native app stores roster data locally. Information processed when you visit this website or email support is different from the roster you keep inside the app; those situations are explained separately below.

2. Information stored on your iPhone

The app stores the information needed to provide its features on your device. This may include:

  • Shift types, start and end dates/times, work time zones, optional location notes, confirmation and ashore status.
  • Imported shift information and an associated source file name.
  • Personal plan titles, dates, durations and related time-search preferences.
  • Your work pattern, onboarding state, clock display, travel and recovery buffers, reminder choices and widget preference.

You do not need to create an app account. We do not receive a server copy of your roster or plans through the app’s normal calendar, planning or import workflows. There is no account-based cloud synchronization service in this version.

3. Files and on-device processing

When you choose a roster through the system file picker, the app reads the selected file to identify supported shifts. CSV, XLSX and PDF processing occurs on the device. Clear scanned PDF tables may use Apple’s on-device text-recognition frameworks.

The app does not upload selected roster files to our servers for parsing. Your selected file may already be held by a third-party Files provider; downloading or syncing that source file is governed by that provider and your settings. The app’s local processing does not control those separate services.

The current app has no camera or photo-library roster-import feature. Selecting a file is a user-initiated action; it does not give us general access to the contents of your Files account.

4. Local diagnostic events

The app may keep a limited rolling diagnostic log on your iPhone to help investigate behavior. Events can include a timestamp, app version, action category, app area, file type, import outcome, error category and a temporary operation identifier.

The diagnostic event format does not record roster contents, original file names, shift dates, location notes or personal plan titles. These event logs are not transmitted to a centralized analytics service or our servers by the app. Diagnostic controls used during development are not ordinary customer settings in the release interface.

Deleting all personal data inside Shift Life also clears the local diagnostic log.

5. Notifications and the Home Screen widget

Shift and plan reminders use local notifications scheduled through iOS. You choose whether to allow them in iPhone settings and whether to enable reminder types inside the app. Shift alerts can display shift type, start time and a time-zone indication; plan alerts use a general upcoming-plan message.

The app and its widget share saved data through an on-device app group. The widget displays selected upcoming roster information on the Home Screen. iOS controls notification delivery, widget refresh and device privacy settings.

Other people who can view your screen may see notification previews or widget information. Adjust iOS notification-preview settings or remove the widget if you do not want those details visible outside the app.

6. Information you choose to send to support

If you email 907847046@qq.com, we receive your email address and any information you include, such as a name, app/device version, problem description, screenshot or redacted sample file. We use that information to respond, investigate the reported issue and maintain related support correspondence.

The website’s report helper builds a draft in your browser. It does not automatically upload the fields or send an email. Choosing Prepare email opens your own mail application; you decide whether to send. Copy report writes the prepared text to your clipboard when browser permission allows. The website does not persist these form fields or help-search queries in a database or local storage.

Do not send patient information, other people’s schedules, passwords, staff identifiers or confidential employer records. If a sample is necessary, remove unnecessary personal data first. Support information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, follow up on the issue and meet applicable obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to those obligations.

7. Website hosting, technical requests and cookies

This website serves product documentation and support resources. We have not added advertising pixels, third-party analytics SDKs, session-replay tools or a roster-upload service. Its help search and report preparation run in your browser.

Loading the website sends ordinary technical requests to the hosting and network providers. Those providers may process information such as IP address, browser/user-agent information, request time, requested page and security logs to deliver and protect the service. Necessary platform cookies or security mechanisms, if used by the hosting provider, are separate from advertising tracking; we do not control their full technical operation or retention periods.

The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites infrastructure. See OpenAI’s privacy information for the provider’s own practices. Following a link to Apple, an email service or another provider subjects that visit or communication to the relevant provider’s policies.

8. Sharing, purchases and international processing

We do not sell your roster or use it for targeted advertising. We have no advertising network integrated into the current app. We may rely on service providers for website hosting and email communication, and may disclose support information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or protect rights and security.

Any App Store purchase or payment is handled by Apple under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not ask you to enter payment card details in the app or this support website. There is no in-app subscription in this version.

The developer is based in China. If you choose to use the website or contact support from another country, hosting or email providers may process technical requests or correspondence in other countries. This does not mean your locally stored roster is automatically uploaded by the app.

9. Your choices, deletion and device backups

You can edit or delete individual shifts and plans inside the app. To reset the app, use Settings → Privacy → Delete all personal data and confirm Delete all data. This clears its saved shifts, plans, preferences and local diagnostic log, refreshes widget data and clears/rebuilds pending reminders from the now-empty state.

This action cannot be undone inside Shift Life. It does not remove original source files from Files, copies you previously shared, already delivered notification history, support emails or separate device backups. Manage those in the relevant apps or services. Because we do not hold a server copy of your roster, we cannot retrieve it or remotely remove a backup for you.

Apple device or cloud backups may include local app data, depending on your settings. Backup retention and restoration are managed by Apple and the account/device owner. Use your device settings to control notifications, lock-screen previews, widgets, backups and Files providers.

For information we hold through support, contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to exercise other rights available under applicable law. We may need sufficient information to identify the correspondence before responding.

10. Security and children

The app uses iOS application storage and system services; this is not a promise of custom end-to-end encryption or an independently audited security system. Protect your device with an appropriate passcode, keep iOS updated and take care before sending any roster information by email.

Shift Life is designed for people managing work shifts and is not directed at children under 13. We do not intentionally request children’s personal information through support. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

11. Changes and contact

We will update this page when these practices change and revise the effective date. If a future app version introduces new data collection or online features, its privacy information should be reviewed before using those features.
